About
Local Advisory Team Meetings
Local
Advisory Team (LAT) meetings are periodically organized as a way to
bring together local officials, foresters, concerned citizens, and other
stakeholders to work on ways to reduce future dumping activity through
cooperative efforts. LAT participants help develop local initiatives
and may implement strategies to abate illegal dumping activity in state
forests, state parks, and other surrounding areas.
Meeting
participants receive information about the Forest Lands Beautification
Program (FLBP) and its successful strategies for addressing illegal
dumping. More importantly, LAT participants talk about the work already
in progress in their communities and have an opportunity to exchange
ideas about how the Forest Lands Program can support their efforts.
